Thanks to everyone who entered our party stories compeition - we have recieved the last of the entries now and are collating them right now for judging. We are taking a short recess to go over them and determine a winner and we will of course let you know as soon as a decision has been reached and then we’ll head straight into making our crazy 6 part TV series. Yes, as promised, Toaster will be screening again in the USA, this time in Madison, Wisconsin.

So tonight is the BAFTA awards ceremony then - everyone looking forward to it?!

Sadly you won’t see “We’ve Got The Toaster” up for nomination in any category tonight… We were asked; they pleaded in fact, but we just couldn’t go through with it*. We didn’t want to make the likes of “The Queen”, “Pan’s Labyrinth”, “The Last King Of Scotland” or heaven forbid “James Bond” look bad. They’re all perfectly fine films, so we think it would be unfair for us to storm in and win everything; sometimes you have to take the moral high ground and let other films get some recognition too, you know?

At least we’ve got our DVD on sale, they haven’t even got that yet have they? Perhaps if they win an award they might get someone interested in releasing their DVDs. We can’t hog all the glory.

In the absence of any of this years BAFTA-nominated films to buy, why not buy the ‘Toaster’ DVD? Have some laughs on us!

The States are getting their fix of Toasteriness!

We are proud to announce that ‘Toaster’ will be showing on the opening day of the Big Damn Film Festival this month in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It’s at 11.45am on the 17th of February, so all you fans that side of the sea get yourselves down there, and anyone this side, well go to America! Exact details can be found on the festivals’ website, here.

This is the first move stateside for our rising cult comedy coming-of-age film - we’re keeping a couple more developments more under wraps, but rest assured you’ll hear about them!!

Today our first retailer was confirmed in good ol’ T Wells, so from now you can find Toaster in Criminal Records, opposite the Post Office in Goods Station Road, in the centre of town. If they’ve run out or you can’t see them, ask at the counter - at least if they don’t have any left they’ll know to get more, hopefully! Watch this space because it won’t neccessarily end there! I’ll keep you posted.

Once upon a time, there was someone who invented the digital versataille disk. They probably thought to themselves:

“I am a genius.

This idea is revolutionary. Cinema will never be the same again. I can watch all of my favourite films on digital versataille disk ~let’s call it, I don’t know, a… ‘DVD’, hehehe~ at a far superior quaity to VHS. And what with a crazy digital age really round the corner, maybe they’ll be able to create menu’s and then put on unprecidented special features as an accompaniment! I can see it now! It’s all unravelling inside my head. One day I might even be able to go out and buy my favourite independent cult teen comedy hit “We’ve Got The Toaster” on these crazy contraptions for only £7 and 99p (£1 p&p notwithstanding). And I do hope they manage to edit that epic behind the scenes making of documentary, outtakes featurette and production notes interview with the director and producer…
